Mike Howard served as Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Microsoft for 16 years. Prior to Microsoft, he was an Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for over two decades. He was previously President of the board of the International Security Management Association, and has served on the U.S. State Dept. Overseas Advisory Council (OSAC), the Security Industry Association Board of Directors, and the ASIS CSO Roundtable Advisory Board. Howard started his career with the Oakland, California Police Department

Currently, Howard is the President of Howard Consulting Services, LLC. He has authored two leadership books,“The Art of Ronin Leadership” and "The Art of Executing Ronin Leadership Strategies." Howard received a BS in Criminal Justice/Sociology from San Jose State University.
