Managing Director Jay Conolly and Vice President Alexander White bring industry expertise and military acumen to Prescient


Jay Conolly, Managing Director | Due Diligence

Prescient is pleased to announce that Jay Conolly, current Vice President of Strategic Relationships, has been promoted to Managing Director within the firm’s Due Diligence Practice.

Jay will be based in Prescient’s McLean, VA office, and will lead a team of seasoned investigators and consultants dedicated to helping clients manage risk and avoid reputational damage. As a Managing Director, he will leverage his industry expertise to drive revenue growth in the Greater Washington, D.C. market, with particular emphasis on private equity, investment banking, venture capital, and corporate development clients, as well as their counsel.

Jay joins Due Diligence Practice Lead and fellow Managing Director John Kula, who together bring decades of industry experience, both with Prescient and other consulting firms, including Control Risks, Deloitte, and FTI Consulting. Jay was responsible for building Prescient Comply, the predecessor to today’s Prescient, and has dedicated over four years of service to the firm in both corporate and practitioner roles.

Prior to his time at Prescient, Jay led investigations on behalf of the U.S. Navy in various countries around the world. His experience in counter-drug, anti-terrorism/force protection, and security operations has enabled him to manage sensitive cases in numerous commercial sectors.

Alexander “Alex” White, Vice President | Cyber

Prescient is also excited to welcome Alex White as a Vice President in its growing Cyber Practice. He will be based in Prescient’s McLean, VA office. In addition to his years of cybersecurity strategy and consulting experience, Alex brings to Prescient an impressive service and leadership record with the United States Army.

Alex is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, awarded for heroic or meritorious achievement or service. From 2001–2011 he served as an Officer and Combat Operations Commander with battlefield units throughout the Middle East, leading 25 direct and 100+ supporting troops in several foreign internal defense, direct action, and unconventional warfare missions.

After leaving the Army, Alex held senior positions with a variety of government services and cyber security firms, including InteliSecure and 3GRC.  In his executive leadership, consulting, and advisory experience, he successfully led transformational efforts with over 10 Global 100 and more than 20 Fortune 100 clients.  In key leadership roles with the Department of Defense, he served as Chief Risk Officer in the Defense Logistics Agency’s Office of the CISO and as Chief Strategy Officer in the Enterprise Technology Management division.

Alex has extensive experience architecting proactive and predictive programs for enterprise risk, technology governance, and data protection; developing enterprise-wide cyber risk management strategies; and leading the global execution and governance of world class ISO, NIST, and ITIL programs.  Alex is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and is an Olympic Taekwondo competitor, currently ranked second in the United States with hopes of competing in the 2020 Olympic Games as the Heavyweight member of the USA Taekwondo National Team.
